How long does Profhilo take to work?

Profhilo® diffuses within the tissue after injection and over the period of 4 weeks after each injection, it stimulates 4 different types of collagen and elastin. You will start to see improvements after 4 weeks of the first treatment; however the best results are normally 8 weeks after the first session.

What is Profhilo used for?

Profhilo is the first BDDE-free stabilised injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) based product for treating skin laxity. With one of the highest concentrations of HA on the market it is not only boosting and hydrating the skin, but also remodels the ageing and sagging tissue. What is BDDE – BDDE is the cross linker used in the majority of the market-leading HA fillers.

Can hyaluronic acid serum be injected?

Injectable hyaluronic acid goes deeper than hyaluronic acid face creams, as it can penetrate the dermis and cause semi-permanent results, however it is more invasive and costly than using a cream. Injectables can be used to improve the skin’s contours and reduce depressions such as lines like crow’s feet around the eyes.

How long does hyaluronic acid fillers last?

Six to eighteen months

Hyaluronic acid fillers tend to be the most temporary option, and therefore are often recommended for first-time filler patients. These will typically last from 6 to 18 months. Fillers to the lips will wear out a little faster than those to the nasolabial folds.

Is hyaluronic acid safe to inject?

Hyaluronic acid will rarely cause allergic reactions
